The Picture of Everything
Howard Hallis has got his work cut out for him. In 1998 he drew Spiderman. Then he thought “Why not draw all the superheroes?” It’s that kind of question that can get a body in trouble. He is now drawing The Picture of Everything, with the goal of finishing on his birthday in 2010 (though surely with a goal so lofty, it can never technically be finished. Best to put a deadline on these things.)
The above video is a nice glimpse, but go to the actual picture and start looking around. It’s like a little journey of discovery in there. The nav at the bottom of the page allows you to focus on things like Cars, People and Robots, and Heroes and Cartoons.
To make things even easier, for the folks who aren’t into self-exploration (that sounded dirtier than it is), check out the highlights.
Things featured here include a close-up of Gansta Heaven. Description:
“This is a TV show where Tupak Sakur and Biggie Smalls are forced to spend the afterlife with each other on a small, deserted island. The only people they can communicate with are Puff Daddy and Lil’ Kim, who appear as ghostly heads in the sky. Located in the “Space and Heaven” section.”
