The Shining is creepy enough as it is, but “The Colouring” just freaked the bejubes and jelly beans outta me.
Lovingly and sweetly colored by Dan Britt and Joe Pelling, and as always, be sure to check out some of Dan’s other work on Vimeo

100 Miles of Nowhere
100 Miles of Nowhere from Noodle on Vimeo.
I did something kinda nuts on Saturday. I rode 100 miles. To where? Nowhere. That was the point. If you’re feeling inspired by this achievement, throw some bucks into Fatty’s Livestrong coffers. He’s the brainchild behind this event (and if you do it today, you can even win a Kona “Cadabra” mountain bike which has been named but not yet made)
How to make a baby
Ah, so that’s how it’s done. But this is really how it’s done.
And this is how this video was made:
We made this video using a technique called “pixilation”, which is a fancy term for stop-motion animation done with real people instead of puppets. We shot it, frame by frame, with Raquel’s Canon DSLR over a period of nine months. More here…

Quimby the Mouse. Animated!
Quimby The Mouse from This American Life on Vimeo.
Designed by cartoonist Chris Ware and animated by John Kuramoto. Yes, the same Chris Ware who did this. This was put together for the “This American Life – Live!” Spring event, which you can listen to here.
What’s “This American Life – Live!”?
Ira Glass hosts an episode of the radio program, in front of a live audience…and records it for those who couldn’t attend to hear. The show is performed onstage by some of our favorite contributors: Dan Savage, Starlee Kine, and Mike Birbiglia tell stories. Plus a very special appearance by Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

Did the island move for you?
There will come a time when it will all be over. Until then, enjoy some vintage DHARMA ads.

Missing Radiohead is easy
The sad thing about getting waaaaay behind on RSS feeds is that you miss things, which is BOO!* I completely missed IFC’s fortnight of Radiohead. But don’t fret pet. For one, thanks to the magic of the scantily clad internet fairies, I can still soak up the juiciness of the above performance on the Henry Rollins show. For two, you can still clickety-clicky mouse touchy on all the links they posted for that fortnight.

Have to throw this one in here. Just because it’s Gondry-licious, but be sure to go revisit the rest too.

PS: Love how Vimeo now gives PLUS users 25,000 HD embed plays. No need to be so stingy when choosing which of your vids you want to be able to embed in the ol’ HD-eroni.

I don’t know what it is, but I like it. I think it was the baby that got me in the end. This dude was one of the four winners of the Radiohead “Weird Fishes” comp. Remember this?
PS: You might want to turn of HD if it loads poopy.
